Our story

Where the Malabar coast meets the castle city.

Kismath is our first restaurant, built around recipes carried from the backwaters of Kerala and the mandi houses of the Gulf. We brought them north to a sandstone corner of New Town, where the light turns the same amber as our charcoal.

A Malabar fish molly beside a Yemeni mandi, and Edinburgh's long evenings made for a long, slow feast.
